The Netflix documentary that explores the life of Tim Bergling, Avicii – I’m Tim, is slated for release on December 31.

The legacy of Avicii has continued to live on after his untimely death in 2018. In recent years, the opening of an interactive museum in tribute to the beloved Swedish artist, charity initiatives, and the consistent streaming of his music has helped keep Tim Bergling in the thoughts of many worldwide. In 2021, it was announced that Candamo Film was working on a documentary celebrating his life, and now, after premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival earlier this year, a release date has been set.

Directed by Henrik Burman, Avicii – I’m Tim will be released on Netflix on December 31. The film gives fans a glimpse into the world of Avicii as he embarked on his meteoric rise in the music industry after the release of “Levels.”

Avicii – I’m Tim will feature never-before-seen footage and interviews with family, friends, and past collaborators while also partially being narrated by Tim Bergling himself. This can be seen in the recently released Netflix trailer, From Small Clubs To Big Clubs, where he recounts the memories of his career as he skyrocketed from being a bedroom producer to playing some of the world’s biggest stages.

Paired with the release of Avicii – I’m Tim is a second documentary, Avicii – My Last Show, which turns back the clock to the night at Ushuaïa Ibiza in 2016, where he would take the stage for a final time. A clip from that performance, originally appearing at the Avicii Experience Museum in Stockholm, was made public earlier this year.

Head to Netflix from December 31 onward to watch the Avicii – I’m Tim and Avicii – My Last Show documentaries.
