Sander van Doorn is rounding out October with a new track titled ‘Temper Temper‘. It features Scottish native, ONR, and is a sweet, short anthem out now on Spinnin‘ Records.
Firstly, the track is chill and mesmerizing. It opens with a rolling bassline, interweaved with plucky synths and a marching beat. Secondly, the string instrumentals spiral along and ONR’s raw vocals add emotion to Doorn’s old school sound. Thirdly, both the artists’ musical stylings and soundscapes create a live element to their collaborative track. This may be a festival dance floor ready tune, to kick start that euphoria you’ve been missing.
What’s more, is the video accompaniment to ‘Temper Temper’. It is an emotional tribute to the losses we’ve felt this year. Moreover, it pays tribute to all the music industry has lost with its canceled live events. You can watch footage of Sander’s prior festival performances. It’s quite emotional when you watch the shots of people dancing and hugging. 2020 is almost over, with some new promises for next year’s events.
Robert Shields, aka ONR, is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and self-taught producer. He hails from the Scottish Highlands and has an unyielding passion for music. Recently signed to Warner Records, his talent gained notice from Nile Rodgers, Bastille, and the most recent artist, Sander. With a new debut album on the way, Doorn keeps his promise with showcasing up-and-coming producers on one of the industry’s leading electronic labels.
Taking a step back from big room bangers, Doorn shows us how he continues to break boundaries. Through his production prowess, his onslaught of releases never ceases to astound us. To compensate for the lack of shows this year, he has pushed through his Identity radio show. Fans get a weekly dose of top tunes each episode.
