Antares Unveils AutoTune Advanced with New DVA Engine

Antares Audio Technologies has officially expanded its industry-standard software suite with the launch of AutoTune Advanced. This new flagship release arrives with a completely re-engineered pitch detection algorithm, designed to provide producers with a more sophisticated tool for real-time vocal correction. By integrating patent-pending technology, the software aims to solve a long-standing challenge in audio production: maintaining the natural character of a vocal performance while achieving precise tuning.
While AutoTune Pro 11 remains the preferred choice for in-depth, manual graph-based editing, AutoTune Advanced is positioned as the primary solution for high-performance, real-time vocal processing. It joins the company's existing ecosystem, which includes the streamlined, entry-level versions of the software.
The standout feature of this new release is the Dynamic Vibrato Architecture (DVA™). This engine is built to distinguish between unwanted pitch errors and the intentional, expressive vibrato of a vocalist. By identifying and protecting these nuances, the software prevents the "flattening" effect often associated with aggressive pitch correction, allowing for a more organic sound even at high settings.
Since 1997, the complaint about pitch correction has been the same: it takes the singer out of the singing. That's the problem DVA™ was built to solve. It can tell the difference between a pitch error and a decision the vocalist made, and it leaves the decision alone.-Jeff Wright, CEO of Antares Audio Technologies
To assist with the creative process, the interface now includes a real-time visualizer that displays the DVA engine's activity as it tracks the vocal. For tracks that require additional flair, the new Vibrato FX module allows producers to synthesize vibrato using various wave shapes, providing control over rate, boost, and cut parameters. The update also introduces a 78-note visual keyboard, a refined Formant Designer for timbre manipulation, and MIDI Perform, which enables users to map physical hardware controllers directly to tuning parameters and FX settings.
The software is now available for purchase as a perpetual license or via the AutoTune Unlimited subscription service, with current subscribers receiving the update at no extra cost. It offers full compatibility with VST3, AU, and AAX formats on both Windows and macOS systems. The launch is supported by a curated library of presets from prominent industry professionals, including Ann Mincieli, Benjamin Thomas, Julian Marley, and Tom Norris.
