GRiZ took to social media today to announce his grand return to the scene after taking time off since 2023: “WE ARE SO BACK!”

The electronic music community was rocked in 2023 when GRiZ announced his indefinite hiatus from the scene. Fans continued to crave his dynamic sounds and vibrant stage presence over the past two years, only getting a glimpse of what might’ve been in store during a surprise set at Burning Man. Today, he’s officially dropped the news that he’s planning to make a comeback.

“WE ARE SO BACK!” captions the video GRiZ posted on his social media channels earlier today. The minute-long video features the saxophone-loving artist riding on a tractor in a field, driving around while listening to a new dubstep tune with vocals proclaiming that he’s going “back to work.” At the end, hay bales in the field are laid out to read 10/10/25 – 10/12/25.

Fans online have speculated that this suggests a three-day festival curated by GRiZ will take place in the fall to mark his return. Festive Owl tweeted a link to the “Seven Stars General Store” which states its “Grand Opening” is on the dates GRiZ revealed. On the shop page are a list of sold out items, with fans relating the items to Daily Bread, Disco Lines, Subtronics, Hamdi, Levity, and Of The Trees, who were also seen on EDM Train’s event listing for “GRiZ’s Return.” The location for this event is allegedly at Seven Stars Farm in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania.

The return of GRiZ comes after the beloved artist spent a few years off from performing or releasing music to focus on traveling, finding fresh inspiration, and to be in a new headspace. “Life is really good, and often I make myself too busy to see just where I am and how far this project has come,” he said in June 2023. “I’m following my gut instincts so for now, I’m not going to put a hard time limit length on the break.”

At the time, GRiZ had become one of the most prominent artists in the scene, headlining major festivals and curating his own standalone experiences, including Space Camp and Triple Rainbow. His last release, the Ouroboros EP, was released just before he went on hiatus in October 2023. What’s coming from him later in this year remains a mystery, but fans can sign up for updates via the link he shared in today’s social media post.
