Scientists Recommend MDMA, Mushrooms for Lockdown Mental Recovery” />

Mind Medicine Australia is recommending MDMA and psilocybin mushrooms to treat mental health after lockdown. This is a charity that supports scientific research in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy. They are calling on the Australian government to allow the use of MDMA and mushrooms to treat mental health issues.

According to Mixmag, Australian people have been seeking help with mental health problems during this unfortunate time. They have been experiencing issues such as depression, anxiety, and stress. Their recent suffering from the bushfire crisis and now the COVID-19 pandemic is causing this.

MDMA for mental health

MMA board member Andrew Robb spoke to ABC and said that psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy is “potentially the most significant innovation in mental health we’ve seen in decades.” He continues, “We would be derelict in our duty as a country if we didn’t take this opportunity to grab hold of this technology, and then see it’s introduced in a way which can potentially provide very significant benefit to many Australians.”

Robb is expecting that once the pandemic ends, mental health will surely be affected. He states, “When we come out of this (pandemic), there will literally be tens of thousands of people coming out the other end of this needing treatment…” As a result, MDMA and mushrooms may be the solution to the problem.
