MARAUDA has cleared his schedule through most of November, planning to resume touring with Apocalypse Zombieland in Long Beach, California.

Fans of MARAUDA looking forward to seeing him play throughout most of next month will have to find other plans. The Australian DJ and producer has shared that in order to focus on his mental health, he must cancel nearly all of his November shows.

MARAUDA (real name Hamish Prasad) wrote in his Instagram Story that he needs “a break for my mental health and family time,” citing rigorous touring as a contributing factor. “I’m canceling shows from November 1-28 and I’m really sorry to anyone who was excited,” reads his statement.

Prasad’s last show before he pauses touring will take place at The Brooklyn Monarch in New York City tonight, October 31. Among those canceled are a stop at JJ’s Live in Fayetteville, Arkansas on November 7, a Shrine Social Club show in Boise on November 15, a performance at Mesa Amphitheatre in Mesa, Arizona on November 16, and back-to-back appearances at BOXPAC Project in Salt Lake City on November 22-23. His first gig once he’s back on the road will be an appearance at Apocalypse Zombieland in Long Island, California on November 29.

Initially producing under the alias Elephant Man, Prasad started gaining significant traction in the heavy dubstep world for tracks like “Warlords” in 2015 and “Casket” in 2018 after he adopted the moniker Mastadon. In 2019, Prasad was taken to court by an influential metal band of the same name and forced to rebrand as Marauda.

Thankfully, it doesn’t look like Prasad’s fans will have to wait too long for things to return to normal in his world. “Your support means the world, and I’m looking forward to getting back to writing music,” he wrote. “To anyone who has ever fucked with my shit I thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
