“I loved learning about industrial music and about all the different crevices of electronic music,” Lady Gaga said in an interview.

Lady Gaga has a long and storied history of collaborating with electronic musicians. Her upcoming album looks to be no exception as she’s named none other than Gesaffelstein as one of her collaborators.

Speaking with Mikael Wood of the Los Angeles Times, Lady Gaga (real name Stefani Germanotta) shared that the as-yet-unnamed album currently known as LG7 features the French techno performer, among other dance music artists. Touching on how she enjoys dabbling in multiple music genres, she remarked that she “loved collaborating with all the DJs and Gesaffelstein on my new album,” and that she “loved learning about industrial music and about all the different crevices of electronic music.”

It remains unclear what other artists Germanotta might have meant. Previously, she has worked with the likes of Skrillex, Madeon, Axwell, Boys Noize, and Tchami. As for Gesaffelstein (real name Mike Lévy), he has also collaborated with pop stars such as Charli XCX and The Weeknd.

At the time of writing, two singles have been shared ahead of the full album release in February. The first, “Disease,” sees Germanotta’s radio-ready vocals underscored by a sterile-sounding midtempo beat. The second, “Die With A Smile,” is a rock ballad that features pop singer Bruno Mars.

Of the album, Germanotta said that it “leaps around genre in a way that’s almost corrupt. And it ends with love. That’s the answer to all the chaos in my life is that I find peace with love.”
