Do LaB, the creators of Lightning in a Bottle, have unveiled their artist lineup for their stage at this year’s Coachella. The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival will be taking place this April 14-16 and 21-23. The ever-evolving interactive stage design and forward-thinking musical curation have continued to be a core experiential aspect of the globally celebrated festival. Do LaB has become one of the most highly anticipated aspects of the Coachella experience every year. It goes without saying that this year is no exception.
Do LaB Lineup
The 2023 lineup includes the return of electronic trio and longtime Do LaB stalwarts, The Glitch Mob. In addition to this, veteran Australian exports Flight Facilities, the brand new ‘Dylan & Harry‘ project of party starters Party Favor & Baauer, and the team up of Grammy-nominated artists A-Trak and Dave1 for The Brothers Macklovitch. Additionally, you can expect surprise guests each night. In years past, we have seen the likes of Skrillex, Richie Hawtin, Major Lazer, and even RÜFÜS DU SOL.
The stage remains a hotbed for rare collaborations. This year’s lineup includes b2b sets from HOLLY and Machinedrum, international talents Ali Farahani and Patrik Khach, + LA underground risers Carré and Samwise. Additionally, Disco Lines and Ship Wrek will be teaming up to unleash their Disco Wrek project.
The beloved Do LaB stage is known for its interactive crowd environment and colorful structures. Together, these both celebrate the brand’s ethos of human connection and art as a transformative experience. The current version of the stage, Warrior One, features 53 panels of custom-dyed fabric.
This year’s lineup dips into more eclectic sonics from the likes of Haitian flag bearer and afro beats standout Michaël Brun. Similarily, the Desert Hearts co-founder Mikey Lion, the vintage funk and disco stylings of Flamingosis, organic bass producer Of The Trees, and Foreign Family favorites Mild Minds all in the fold.
Avant-garde and experimental sides of electronic music also remain paramount, a style of curation ever-present in Do LaB’s bookings. This is exemplified by the likes of Life and Death founder DJ Tennis, Turkish-Italian DJ and producer Carlita, Toronto club legend BAMBII, genre-crossing producer Emmit Fenn, stylish open format specialist Hank K, Spanish globetrotter Arodes, and melodic house producer Paraleven.
The next generation earns their stripes as well. I say this, as loads of rising talent can be found on this years Do LaB stage. This movement is led by emergent electronic producer DEVAULT. You can also find rising bass producer A Hundred Drums, as well as numerous tech-house sensations. These include stalwarts such as ODD MOB, it’s murph, & DJ Susan.
This year is a milestone year for the Do LaB brand. I say this as it celebrates the 20th anniversary of its multifaceted boutique festival Lightning in a Bottle. If you’ve yet to experience the glory that is the Do LaB, you truly need to check it out. Coachella’s Do LaB stage is a festival experience that shouldn’t be missed.
