DJ Tennis Returns With High-Energy Summer Cut “Misbehave” Featuring Campbell King

Prolific DJ, producer, and Life and Death label boss DJ Tennis returns with a new club-focused single, teaming up with Campbell King for “Misbehave,” out now via Life and Death alongside a new music video.

Built for peak-time dancefloors, “Misbehave” sees DJ Tennis (Manfredi Romano) leaning into one of his most high-octane productions in recent memory. The track pairs Campbell King’s commanding vocal delivery with dense rhythmic programming, talkative basslines, and a mix of percussive and melodic elements that give it a distinctly global club character.

At its core, the track blends heavy club energy with unexpected texture. A cuíca sample adds a Carnaval-inspired flair, while detuned synth lines push the record into more psychedelic territory. The result is a hybrid club weapon designed for open-air sets, late-night festival moments, and the kind of unpredictable dancefloor energy DJ Tennis has long been known for curating.

While “Misbehave” stands firmly as a dancefloor release, it also arrives during a milestone moment for Life and Death, which celebrates its 15th anniversary this year. Founded by DJ Tennis, the label has become a cornerstone of underground electronic music, known for its emphasis on melody, vocal-driven experimentation, and genre-fluid releases.

Over the years, Life and Death has built a diverse roster including Demi Riquisimo, Jennifer Loveless, Luke Alessi, Cole Knight, Paurro, and Butch, while maintaining a strong connection to broader music culture beyond the club world. Romano’s own background in punk promotion, artist management, and collaborations with acts such as The White Stripes, Sonic Youth, Björk, and LCD Soundsystem continues to inform the label’s eclectic identity.

“Misbehave” follows DJ Tennis’s previous Life and Death release, “Playa Paradiso” featuring Eliza Rose, which received widespread support from outlets including Billboard, DJ Mag, Mixmag, and Beatport.

With “Misbehave,” DJ Tennis reinforces his reputation as one of electronic music’s most versatile curators and producers, delivering a track that bridges underground credibility with global dancefloor appeal.
