Club Space Founder Helps Launch New Miami Venue AIRE
Miami’s vibrant nightlife landscape is set to welcome a fresh open-air destination, bolstered by the involvement of a legendary figure in the city's electronic music history. Louis Puig, the visionary founder of the iconic Club Space, is joining forces with a seasoned team to introduce AIRE, a new nightclub and lounge concept.
Situated at 111 NE 20th Street in the Edgewater neighborhood, AIRE is moving into the space previously occupied by Boho Miami. The venue is slated for an official opening on September 24, marking a significant transition following Boho’s six-year tenure. Beyond Puig, the leadership team includes Boho owner Jorge Moreno, alongside industry veterans John Fortini, Travis Rogers, and Aramis Lorie.
While the physical footprint of the location remains, patrons can expect a refined experience. The venue is undergoing a design refresh that features a new bar layout, an optimized DJ booth placement, and an updated menu. The fundamental mission of the project, however, centers on a commitment to deep, soulful, and rhythmic house music.
Moreno noted that the evolution from the bohemian-themed predecessor to AIRE represents a strategic shift toward a music-centric environment. By prioritizing the connection between the DJ and the dance floor, the team aims to cultivate a distinct energy, encapsulated by their motto: “New name. New energy. Same soul.”
The programming schedule kicks off with a public preview on September 24, followed by a performance from Gab Rhome on September 25. The momentum continues on September 26 when UK house music veteran Steve Lawler brings his acclaimed Pendulum party to the stage. Starting September 30, the venue will maintain a regular schedule from Wednesday through Saturday, showcasing collaborations with local collectives such as Afrotek and Pitch Park alongside a rotating roster of international talent.
Puig’s involvement adds a layer of historical significance to the venture. Having launched Club Space in 2000, he played a pivotal role in shaping the trajectory of the American electronic music scene. With AIRE, he brings that extensive expertise to a more intimate setting, positioning the club as a sophisticated new player in Miami’s competitive nightlife market.
