BREAKING: Tomorrowland Approved for 3 Weekends in 2022

At a time when Europe seems, once again, to be backsliding into COVID lockdowns and isolation, there is a glimmer of hope for next year. Europe’s (and possibly the world’s) marquee music festival, Tomorrowland, has just been given a badly needed boost. Tomorrowland has been granted approval for three (3) weekends of the festival in Belgium during the Summer of 2022. Reportedly, all three weekends will take place in July.

This has long been rumored as something Tomorrowland desired, and now the dream is becoming a reality.

According to Tomorrowland, the third weekend is necessary for 2022 to compensate Tomorrowland for lost income during two summers of being canceled. Not only was Tomorrowland Belgium canceled, but Tomorrowland Winter was canceled for 2 years and 2022 even hangs in the balance. Tomorrowland was expectedly elated about the news.

“This is very good news for us. We have not been able to organize Tomorrowland for two years. We are therefore very much looking forward to both the winter edition in France and the 3 summer weekends in De Schorre.”

“We can now start preparing for three weekends. They will all fall in July. We will work in the same way as for two editions, i.e. with the necessary variations on the poster.”

Debby Wilmsen – Tomorrowland

Don’t get too excited because the third weekend is a one-time-only deal for 2022 to make up for the extraordinary circumstances of the last 2 years. Tomorrowland accepts that this won’t become an annual three-week tradition. Special measures will be taken in 2022 to decrease nuisance for Boom over those three weeks. The festival will not deploy its own helicopters (for filming) and the closing time of the Dreamville opening party will be moved earlier to midnight.

It’s almost time to unite together again. We cannot wait.
