Apple Re-Invents the IPod with New AirPods Pro Case

Apple has reported being researching an AirPods case with a built-in interactive touchscreen. The case would allow users to control music playback, answer phone calls, and more without taking their iPhone out of their pocket. So….basically an iPod? We have now seen portable music technology come full circle.

There is a need for a headphone case device that can control operations that are traditionally associated with headphones (e.g., playback controls, changing audio sources, changing audio output modes, etc.). There is a further need for a headphone case that can also convey information to a user, through haptics and/or display devices. Such methods and interfaces optionally complement conventional methods for controlling wireless headphones. Such methods and interfaces reduce the number, extent, and/or nature of the inputs from a user and produce a more efficient human-machine interface”.

It’s still uncertain if or when Apple will release an AirPods case with a built-in touchscreen. That said, reports suggest that the tech giant is researching this technology. So if the company decides to go ahead, we may soon see the AirPods case with a built-in touchscreen coming to the market.

This incredible feature would enable users to take their music experience to the next level. With the built-in touchscreen, you can navigate easily through playlists, pause, play, skip tracks, and do more.
It will also make it easier to access Siri, Apple’s virtual assistant. You won’t need to use words to access and interact with the assistant – you can use the touchscreen, allowing you to use natural language to interact with Siri. It would be a game-changer if and when Apple releases an AirPods case with a built-in touchscreen. We can only hope that the tech giant will develop this feature soon.
