Euphoric west coast indie-folk duo Ocie Elliott return today with the title track from their upcoming EP A Place, out August 27th. The song was born from a specific night in the summer of 2020 after the pair played one of their only live shows of the year. “It was a clear and warm night on a small, beautiful island and a certain feeling was in the air that needed to be put to music. It was a soft fusion of nostalgia and warmth mixed with a kind of melancholy––and it gave rise to an acute awareness and appreciation of the present moment,” they say.

A Place follows the release of their Slow Tide EP earlier this year, which was comprised of five tracks of modern folk painted in broad strokes of acoustic instrumentation and lyrical eloquence meant for nights under the stars, long drives with no destination, and quiet moments of reprieve.
