Indie pop singer-songwriter Devan revealed her debut solo EP, Pink Noise, in February 2021 and ‘Lie’ is her first single post-release. She really brings the feels with this one as she sings about the blissful ignorance when you know the relationship is going sour but you don’t want to face it yet. You rely on denial to buy yourself more time, even though you’re just postponing the inevitable.
When you’ve gone through something like that, these lyrics will hit especially the way Devan delivers them. Whew. What a voice!
