The Display On the Google Pixel Fold May Outshine That Of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5

If you’ve been following the foldable phone and display market, you’ll know that Samsung is at the top of the game in this field. As a result, it’s no surprise that Google has reportedly turned to Samsung to source the display for their upcoming Pixel Fold.

However, what’s really piqued our interest is that according to a report from The Elec, the Pixel Fold’s display will feature the new M13 display material. This is something that might not even make it into Samsung’s own Galaxy Z Fold 5. This is a big deal because Samsung typically uses the latest and greatest technology in their own devices. They typically do this before making it available to other companies.

Now, here’s where it gets really interesting. The report claims that Samsung could continue to use the M12 material in the Fold 5. This of course means that the Pixel Fold could potentially have newer and better display tech than Samsung’s upcoming device. While it’s unclear exactly how the M13 will differ from the M12, this could be a game-changer for those seeking the best of the best. At least when it comes to foldable displays.

Of course, it’s worth noting the average consumer might not even be able to tell the difference between the two displays. However, for tech enthusiasts and those looking for cutting-edge technology, this news is certainly exciting.

We can expect the Pixel Fold to be launched in the latter half of this year. Having said that, we’re hoping that Google will have more to share about this exciting new device. They will be sharing more information at their upcoming I/O 2023 event next month. As always, stay tuned to edmtunes.com for the latest news and insights on both the music and tech worlds.
