Sweat It Out, the trailblazing Australian dance label behind names like RÜFÜS DU SOL, Dom Dolla, and What So Not, has announced an unprecedented opportunity for emerging talent. For the first time ever, the label is hosting the Amsterdam Writing Camp, taking place from October 20–22, 2025, and is now issuing a global callout for one Australian artist, songwriter, or producer to join.

Open to all Australians aged 18 and over, regardless of their current location, this one-of-a-kind initiative offers the chance to participate in curated writing sessions alongside some of the world’s leading electronic artists and producers — all during Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), the industry’s most influential global conference.

In partnership with Kobalt Music Group, Telepathic Instruments (the innovative music tech company founded by Kevin Parker of Tame Impala), and leading software distributor Plugin Boutique, the Amsterdam Writing Camp promises not only unparalleled creative access but also tangible support for the winner.

The prize includes:

  • Return flights to Amsterdam
  • Three nights accommodation
  • Ground transfers and daily breakfast
  • Access to all writing camp sessions
  • A Plugin Boutique Software Bundle
  • A Loopcloud 12-Month Studio Plan
  • A DJ slot at the official Writing Camp After Party

Curated and directed by KLP (Kristy Lee Peters), Head of Publishing A&R at Sweat It Out, the camp is designed to elevate Australian talent on a global stage, with a focus on high-level collaboration and creative innovation.

“We’re creating a space that connects Australian creators with the global music community in a meaningful, high-level way,” says KLP. “It’s more than a writing camp — it’s a platform for future-shaping collaborations and real industry access.”

In a cutting-edge collaboration with Telepathic Instruments, all artists in attendance will have hands-on access to Orchid — the chord-generating “Ideas Machine” that sold out globally in minutes. With three synth engines, intuitive controls, and a rich suite of sounds, Orchid is a next-gen creative tool built to help songwriters chase inspiration, wherever it leads.

Known for championing forward-thinking projects, Sweat It Out previously collaborated with Spotify to launch the EQUAL Writing Camp, spotlighting underrepresented voices in the music industry. Past writing camps have featured breakthrough artists like Ninajirachi, Big Wett, Thandi Phoenix, and PARIS.

“Very excited to host our first Amsterdam songwriters camp,” says Jamie Raeburn, Owner and CEO of Sweat It Out. “Bringing so many talented Australian writers to work with some of our favorite international artists has been long on the to-do list. Our ADE parties have hosted some of the biggest names in the dance scene in their early stages — hopefully, we replicate that in the studio.”

From London to Lisbon, LA to Lismore, if you’re an Australian creative with a passion for collaboration and innovation in electronic music, this is your chance to be part of something truly global and career-defining.
