Electronic music visionaries Seth Troxler and Bill Patrick have officially launched Flirting With Friendship, a new video-first, hour-long podcast now available on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts. Presented and produced by StrataSonic, the series reflects the label’s mission to create a collaborative hub for ideas and innovation, blending culture, humor, and raw human connection.

Filmed in Ibiza—in Seth’s parents’ living room, no less—the podcast invites listeners into a late-night setting where stories unfold naturally, connections take shape, and the unexpected thrives. Each week, Troxler and Patrick host eclectic guests for conversations that blur the line between profound and absurd, underscored by music and spontaneous audience interaction. The show is part existential afterparty, part cultural salon, and a full-on experiment in humor, vulnerability, and friendship.

Reflecting on the inspiration behind the project, Seth Troxler shared, “Friendships are funny—our lives are built on connections, and in many ways, they define who we are. As we get older, it’s harder to make new ones or even open up to the friends we already have. Flirting With Friendship is about breaking down that barrier. Bill and I have been friends for nearly 20 years—we love each other, but we drive each other crazy. Real friends are people whose flaws don’t scare you away but make you even more invested. I hope people see that in us, and maybe they’ll come to love us too.”

Bill Patrick added his own take: “I didn’t have much of a choice in doing this show—I was basically told, ‘We’re doing a podcast,’ and I went along with it. That’s the kind of questionable decision-making that comes with long-term friendships. This isn’t about self-improvement. It’s about proving that questionable life choices and friends who never let you forget them are universal. At the very least, you’ll hear me and Seth roast, annoy, and occasionally appreciate each other in real time.”

Alongside the main series, the duo will release Pill-O-Talk, a companion segment alternating weekly. In this more intimate 20-minute format, listeners submit voicemails about friendship dilemmas, and Troxler and Patrick respond with stories, advice, and playful banter, offering a lighter counterpoint to the flagship podcast.

The first season of Flirting With Friendship features appearances by Róisín Murphy, Damian Lazarus, Felipe Pantone, John Acquaviva, Chris Korda, Miranda Makaroff & Pascal Moscheni, George Stavro, Marcello Burlon, DJ Tennis, and more, in addition to the introductory episode with the hosts themselves.

Globally recognized as DJs and tastemakers, Troxler and Patrick are now expanding their creative worlds beyond the touring circuit, using the podcast to explore new expressions of culture, community, and positive masculinity.

Behind the project is a powerhouse creative team. Produced by Nikita Stanley (The Rebel Mama), Jesse Rogg (StrataSonic, Mack Sennett Studios) and Craig Pettigrew (Future Primitive, BPM Festival), the series also benefits from design by Veronica Gessa (aka mokibaby), known for her work with Space Miami and III Points, and cinematography by award-winning Lukas Strebel (Black Mirror).

The production team brings together talent previously behind Dave Chappelle’s acclaimed The Midnight Miracle, named one of the best podcasts of 2021 by Apple and The New York Times. Among them, Lee Adams, Jasper Van Dijk, and Tyler Christie have since advanced as leaders across film, scoring, and editing for outlets such as VICE, BBC, Amazon, Netflix, and NBC.

The launch of Flirting With Friendship also marks StrataSonic’s expansion into original media, serving as its inaugural podcast initiative and laying the groundwork for a broader creative movement that transcends the dance floor.
