Many agree it’s a fine line between confidence and arrogance. So when KSHMR tweets that “[his] debut album is one of the most ambitious, maybe even one of the best electronic albums of all time,” the Internet fires back. But one thing is certain: KSHMR’s enthusiasm to share two years of hard work with the world this Friday January 15.
My debut album is one of the most ambitious, maybe even one of the best electronic albums of all time…
I know it sounds crazy but I just can’t imagine anybody else taking you on a journey quite like this, or even trying

As with all things that end up on social media, the Internet becomes divided over this rather strong opinion. Fans, of course, are highly supportive, telling others to “let him be proud”. Other comments like “super excited!” or “can’t wait” have also been flooding his social media.
Why are people attacking him? He’s not comparing to anyone. He’s worked really hard for an epic album. Let him be proud. I’m looking forward to hearing this @KSHMRmusic ? https://t.co/8XootPuFdc

Additional Responses to KSHMR
Others, however, haven’t taken the comment so well. The main issue the Internet seems to have is that his statement implies that “other artists are crap”. Some have even gone so far to tell the Indian-American DJ to “get over yourself”.
Are you serious? “Maybe even one of the best” implies it’s goin against all other electronic albums, ya know? It’s one thing to say one of YOUR best, comparing you to yourself, but this album better be GASSS if you’re talking it up soo much

KSHMR has since then responded to some of these comments, questioning some, apologising to others.
No…. how is saying an album is “maybe even one of the best” an assault on anybody else’s album? Also illusion of depth is a journey unlike anybody has taken me on recently….

Imagine committing two years to something and believing it really matters. I wouldn’t judge you for some over the top feelings

To wrap things up, KSHMR puts an end to the Twitter wars with a my-kid-is-the-best parent analogy. Whatever your take is, with just four days to the album’s release, we’ll let you decide for yourselves once the album drops!
Guys I’m very excited about this album, the internet hit me w a deserved humble stick so I’ll just say:
I think it’s best music I’ve made, maybe the best I can make. It took 2 yrs + now I’m that annoying parent who wants to tell everyone how great their kid is, I’ll calm down
