Insomniac Donates Nocturnal Wonderland Resources to Fire Crews and Victims

Resources initially set to be used by Insomniac at Nocturnal Wonderland have begun to reach those affected by the fires in San Bernardino County.

The Line and Bridge fires in San Bernardino County have rocked the region. As of this morning, the Line Fire, which started on September 5, has only reached 18% containment, while the more recent Bridge Fire, which erupted on September 8, sits at 0% containment. Thousands of people have been displaced, and the air quality has been dangerous for many in the area. These factors led Insomniac to cancel the upcoming edition of Nocturnal Wonderland yesterday, and the promoter is already beginning to divert resources to help fire crews and the local community.

In their official cancelation statement, Insomniac mentioned that they planned to release information on how the dance music community can unite to support firefighters and those displaced or affected by the fires. They’re already beginning to lead the charge by diverting resources initially set to be used at Nocturnal Wonderland this weekend.

Adventure RV California took to social media yesterday afternoon to announce that three RVs, originally destined for Pasquale Rotella’s campsite at Nocturnal Wonderland, had been donated by Insomniac to assist those displaced by the Line and Bridge fires. These RVs are available from September 12-17 at Yucaipa Regional Park, with each campsite having access to water, electricity, and sewer. They will be given to three families from the area in need, and application information can be found on the company’s Instagram post.

We are heartbroken to see the devastating impact of the recent fires in our community… We are committed to helping as much as we can, so Adventure RV California will also cover the campsite fees and personally deliver the RV rentals to Yucaipa Regional Park.

That’s not all Insomniac has begun to do to help kick-start relief efforts. EDM Identity has confirmed that resources placed at Glen Helen Regional Park for Nocturnal Wonderland have found their way to fire crews in the area. This includes thousands of N-95 masks originally intended to be used by workers and given to attendees at the festival. Additionally, five pallets of water bottles at the festival and camping grounds have also been donated to fire crews in the area who are battling the two fires.

This is just a presumed start for the relief efforts from Insomniac, which has consistently hosted events in different venues throughout San Bernardino County for three decades—more details to come.

Those looking to donate to those in need can do so via the Inland SoCal United Way Wildfire Fund or Red Cross. Both organizations support San Bernardino County residents who the wildfires have displaced.
