Giora has returned with FREEWAY, a compelling six-track EP released May 1 via their own imprint, Holypop. This project marks a significant evolution in the London-based artist’s sonic landscape, blending experimental pop, electronic abstraction, and raw emotional storytelling. Anchored by the focus track “LONG LIVE MUSIC,” the EP serves as a deep dive into existentialism, personal power, and the pursuit of truth.
The project has already garnered critical acclaim from major publications, including KALTBLUT Magazine, NOTION Magazine, CLASH Magazine, and Wonderland Magazine. Giora’s ability to weave distorted textures and intricate rhythms with delicate synth work has solidified their reputation as a unique voice in the underground scene.
A Multi-Disciplinary Vision
Giora’s artistry is rooted in a diverse background that spans classical piano, voice, and music theory, cultivated during their early years in North London. A formative period in New York, which included orchestral composition studies at Juilliard, further refined their musical language. This foundation is evident in the cohesive yet exploratory nature of FREEWAY, which was produced and mixed by Giora alongside Czech producer Oliver Torr and mastered by Canadian composer Zac Tiessen.
The artist’s live performances are equally immersive, having shared stages with notable figures such as Isabella Lovestory, Varg, Babynymph, Elisabeth Elektra, Puce Mary, Kelora, and Felix Lee. Their work has been showcased at prestigious venues and festivals, including CREEPY TEEPEE Festival in the Czech Republic and various London-based spaces like Gossamer Fog and The Divine.

The EP opens with the title track, which establishes an assertive tone through syncopated drums and psychedelic synths. Tracks like “EARTHQUAKE” lean into rave-inspired energy, while “POWER CANDY” highlights Giora’s vulnerability through layered synth textures and brooding guitar elements. The project reaches a poignant peak with “LONG LIVE MUSIC,” a manifesto celebrating transformation, before closing with the high-intensity, genre-blurring anthem “IN THE END.”
“This EP is a statement piece about freedom, truth, and love,” Giora explains. “The freeway is a promise of openness, travel, connection. It is an expression of human nature. Freedom is yours to build—not at the expense of anyone or anything else. The free way is acceptance, transformation, and the ability to be exactly as you please… staying real and holding your own power and doing it with love.”
