Eric Prydz has officially unveiled the first chapter of a new three-part documentary series chronicling the creation of Holosphere 2.0—his most ambitious and technologically advanced live show to date. Premiering today on his YouTube channel, the series offers fans unprecedented access into the visionary process behind the next evolution of his immersive audiovisual experience, now in residency at Ibiza’s groundbreaking new venue, [UNVRS], every Monday night through September 1, 2025.

Filmed on location in Ibiza, the documentary peels back the curtain on the team of producers, visual effects specialists, and engineers working alongside Prydz to bring the massive Holosphere 2.0 concept to life. Viewers are taken through every phase—from conception to execution—revealing never-before-seen footage of the show in full, sensory-defying action.

A Vision Six Years in the Making

The original Holosphere, which debuted in 2019, already pushed the boundaries of stage production. But Holosphere 2.0 is a complete reinvention—an arena-scale experience reimagined for a club environment. Towering over eight meters high, weighing eight tonnes, and comprised of three transparent layers of custom LED screens, the new structure envelopes Prydz in a true 360-degree holographic concert sphere.

We’ve waited six years for this,” says Eric Prydz. “Not because we wanted to, but because we had to. The technology needed to catch up with our vision. Every single part of Holosphere 2.0 is bespoke and original. This is what we always dreamed of.

Built Exclusively for [UNVRS]

The result of an extraordinary collaboration between The Night League—the creative force behind Ushuaïa and Hï Ibiza—and cutting-edge production company High Scream, [UNVRS] was designed from the ground up to support Holosphere 2.0’s extreme technical demands. From its cavernous infrastructure and arena-scale rigging to its L-Acoustics sound system and immersive lighting grid, the venue itself has become an integral component of the performance.

More than a nightclub, [UNVRS] functions as part dreamscape, part installation, and part production studio—tailored to host a show unlike anything club culture has ever seen.

A Generational Leap in Show Design

Every element of Holosphere 2.0 is custom made—nothing off-the-shelf. World-renowned animators and digital artists including GMUNK have contributed immersive, CGI-based visuals captured with practical effects in Los Angeles, then laser-mapped and stitched into 360-degree environments. The result: crystalline orbs, burning glass, and plasma spheres swirl around Prydz in real time, synchronized with his meticulously curated live sets.

This is not a sequel—it’s a reinvention. From color depth and resolution to pixel pitch and fidelity, the Holosphere 2.0 experience is a quantum leap forward from its 2019 predecessor, reaffirming Eric Prydz’s status as one of electronic music’s most forward-thinking artists.
