An international sporting event is set to take place for the first time at PreZero Arena Gliwice this year, forcing the cancellation of Dreamstate Europe.
While some of the biggest Dreamstate editions have taken place on North American soil, the trance-fueled brand has brought its larger-than-life experience to international venues. One that has caught the attention of many in the scene is Dreamstate Europe, which has taken place annually in Gliwice, Poland, delivering jam-packed nights that feature top-tier artists. But this year, the festival will unfortunately not move forward as planned on April 11.
The news broke via a statement from TME Entertainment, Insomniac’s partner for Dreamstate Europe, which was initially published to Instagram but has since been deleted. The text still exists on Facebook, which reads, “TME Entertainment regrets to announce the cancellation of this year’s edition of Dreamstate Europe. This decision results from organizational conditions independent of TME Entertainment and Insomniac, located on the side of the facility where the event was to take place.”
That statement points to another from PreZero Arena Gliwice, available on its official website, which provides additional context on the cancellation. A unique international sporting event will be taking place for the first time in the history of Gliwice at the venue, and due to that, Dreamstate Europe cannot move forward as planned.
“This decision is based solely on organizational and scheduling considerations, as well as the unique nature of the planned sporting event,” the translated statement reads. “We would like to emphasize that Dreamstate Europe has been, and remains, a very important element of the PreZero Arena Gliwice program.”
Refunds will be automatically processed for those who purchased Dreamstate Europe passes. Purchasers will receive an email from the website they used to make their purchase, with the refund process beginning on February 16.
This year’s edition of Dreamstate Europe was set to feature acts such as ATB, Bryan Kearney, Paul Van Dyk, Darren Porter, Ben Hemsley, Avalon, and more.
