Diplo is back with new music! This time, the American DJ/Producer teams up with Australian DJ/Producer Wax Motif for a brand new lit track! This new collab is titled ‘Love To The World’. If you haven’t guessed it after seeing Motif’s name up there, or you just don’t know this amazing producer, Diplo’s newest track, is a house one. ‘Love To The World’ premiered through Higher Ground, Diplo’s new house label.
Diplo Ventures Into The Realm Of House
After the release of this new label, it seems as if Diplo will venture into the realm of house. About this new label, and the importance of house music to the scene, Diplo declared:
“House is where it all came from. Everything we know and love as dance music today started with the masters in Chicago and Detroit almost 40 years ago,” Diplo says of the new venture. “The genre has always been incredibly important to me, and Higher Ground is our homage to the legends and opportunity to champion new sounds and artists from around the world pushing the genre forward.”
People might not be used to this new Diplo facet. However, if there’s one thing we can affirm, it is the DJ’s talent to switch between genres. Certainly, we can all agree Diplo has the talent to go back and forth between what he likes. Yet, it’s time for Diplo’s house.
For his third release inside his own label, Diplo recruits one of the hottest house producers in the game right now. Wax Motif. The Australian produces banger after banger. His tracks exude energy and strength, as well as his remixes. Undoubtedly, Motif is one of the best producers belonging to the new wave of house artists.
But, let’s talk about ‘Love To The World’. Diplo and Motif join forces for house track which undoubtedly surprised me. Their new track is way more chill and mellow than I expected. However, it’s still an amazing one. The drums certainly remind me of those of Latin house. I can’t quite figure out yet how will both artists fit it into their sets, but I definitely need to listen to this track live. This is the track you want to hear at a beach club in Ibiza. Sun going down, cocktail in your hand. This is exactly how Latin house should sound like. Shoutout to both artists for creating such a grat song!
The creation of Higher Ground, and another huge producer joining the new house trend helps confirm my theory. 2020 is indeed the year of house. One of the oldest genres in EDM is set to take over. I can’t wait for all the talent that will come out from Higher Ground. Diplo, once again dominating the trend of the year, this time, in collaboration with one of my favorite new discoveries, Wax Motif!
