The DJ duo out of Los Angeles, BEAUZ, are putting together a live streamed event in honor of the graduating Class of 2020. In the world we live now, the return of music festivals and concerts are obviously far into our future. Artists have been teaming up to throw virtual music festivals for the entertainment of their fans. Beyond that of concerts, this also means large public gatherings are forbidden as well and this includes graduations. Obviously graduating college is a huge monumental milestone for many but unfortunately this year, many graduates will move on to the next chapter of their lives without the celebratory cap throw due to the ongoing pandemic. However, the duo of Johan Yang and Bernie Yang are now bringing together some of the biggest names in electronic music to hopefully present graduates everywhere a little bit of that celebratory feeling inside the comfort of their own homes.
BEAUZ is now teaming up with UC Berkeley to bring us the Blockeley Virtual Music Festival. Unlike most of the present day livestreamed events, this one can be tuned into on Minecraft. some of the notable artists that will be performing this event are Sam Feldt, DJ Soda, Cash Cash, Brooks, EDX and over 40 other talented artists. The event will come right after UC Berkeley’s graduation commencement speeches which will be brought to us by Chancellor Carol Christ (UC Berkeley), Justin Kan (Founder, Twitch), and Min-Liang Tan (CEO, Razer).
The Blockeley Virtual Music Festival will kick off this Saturday, May 16th at 4PM PST and Day 2 of the event will launch at 10AM PST on Sunday, May 17th. RSVP to the event here now!
