Some of Avicii’s garments, instruments, and other personal effects will be auctioned off to benefit the Tim Bergling Foundation.

Avicii’s loved ones continually demonstrate a commitment to making sure he did not die in vain. They have offered up an assortment of his personal belongings for an auction on October 1 at the Auktionsverk in Stockholm whose proceeds will go to the late DJ and producer’s namesake mental health charity, The Tim Bergling Foundation.

The auction will consist of 267 items, including clothing, sneakers, and instruments, among other things. Its catalog will go live on September 6th, and its contents will go on display at Auktionsverk from September 24-30.

We are incredibly proud to present this auction,” said Auktionsverk CEO Cecilia Gave in a statement. “Tim Bergling touched countless people worldwide and continues to do so both through his music and the foundation the family has established in his name. It is a true honor to support The Tim Bergling Foundation to help even more young people. We have 350 years of experience passing on the artifacts of some of history’s most prominent cultural figures and consider it a privilege.”

Bergling, who rode hit singles like “Levels” and “Wake Me Up” to the height of the 2010-2015 EDM explosion, died in April 2018 of a suspected suicide in Muscat, Oman. He had previously discontinued touring in 2016 to focus on his mental health — but his untimely passing shocked his inner circle as he’d appeared to make significant strides in the two years that followed.

Right up to his last days, Bergling worked on his final album, Tim. His collaborators finished it after his death, and his family released it in April 2019 in tandem with the launch of The Tim Bergling Foundation.
