Sara Landry has announced her sophomore album, Divine Intervention, set for release on October 16 via her own label, HEKATE. The announcement lands alongside the album’s third single, ‘Angel Dust‘, a collaboration with HEKATE regular Alex Farell, out today.
The follow-up to her 2024 debut Spiritual Driveby arrives with plenty to live up to. That first album picked up coverage from major industry outlets and helped cement Landry as one of the defining figures in hard techno’s recent surge into the mainstream. Divine Intervention is being billed as a genre-blending record, and ‘Angel Dust’ offers an early look at the more cathartic, wide-ranging direction she’s taking on this one.
Landry’s trajectory over the past few years has been hard to ignore. Her 2023 Boiler Room set went viral and remains one of the platform’s most-streamed sets of the past two years, sitting north of 11 million views. Since then she’s played back-to-back Coachella weekends, become the first woman to headline a show at Las Vegas’s Sphere, and picked up features in major publications along the way.
‘Angel Dust’ marks another chapter in Landry’s ongoing collaboration with Alex Farell, a fellow HEKATE artist she’s worked with before. HEKATE has become something of a home base for Landry beyond her own releases, serving as an outlet for the harder, more industrial-leaning sound she’s built her name on.
With Divine Intervention due October 16, ‘Angel Dust’ gives fans their clearest signal yet of where Landry is taking her sound next, and how she plans to follow up a debut that landed with this much critical weight behind it.
