ORIGIN Los Angeles to Open in Arts District Late Summer 2026

Downtown Los Angeles is set to welcome a new cornerstone for the electronic music community. ORIGIN Los Angeles, an independent indoor and outdoor venue located at 613 Imperial Street in the Arts District, is scheduled to open its doors in late summer or early fall 2026. This project promises to deliver a purpose-built club environment tailored to one of the city’s most vibrant cultural hubs.

The venue is the brainchild of Roni Mehrabian and Cyril Bitar, the creative forces behind established nightlife brands SBCLTR and Minimal Effort. With a combined two decades of experience in the underground scene—having produced notable events such as LABYRINTO, Brunch Electronik, and The Maze—Mehrabian and Bitar are now establishing their first permanent home for music lovers.

A Purpose-Built Space for Electronic Music

The venue utilizes an existing industrial space on Imperial Street, which has been meticulously transformed into a dual-environment facility. It features a primary indoor music room complemented by a spacious outdoor patio, designed to foster a connection between the music and the surrounding Arts District community. The programming strategy aims to provide consistent electronic music experiences, with Fridays dedicated to top-tier bookings and Saturdays alternating between daytime open-air events and late-night house and techno showcases.

Technical Precision and Design

A standout feature of the new venue is its commitment to high-fidelity sound. ORIGIN will house a custom analog KV2 Audio system, engineered specifically for the venue’s unique acoustics to ensure consistent coverage from the dance floor to the mezzanine. The interior design is led by Marc Dizon, whose portfolio includes high-profile projects such as Brooklyn Mirage, Output New York, and Sound Los Angeles.

The brand identity for the project is being developed by the Super Evil Genius Group, the agency behind major industry successes like John Summit’s Experts Only Records and the launch of Tao Beach in Las Vegas. This collaboration underscores the team’s ambition to create a long-term, music-first destination that serves as a permanent anchor for artists and the local electronic scene.
