Luminosity Beach Festival Delays Start Due to Extreme Heatwave

As a severe heatwave continues to impact Europe, Luminosity Beach Festival has officially announced a delay to its daily start time. Following a code red heat warning issued by the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI), organizers have coordinated with local government officials to adjust the event schedule. To prioritize the health and safety of all attendees, artists, and staff, the festival will now begin at 18:00, effectively avoiding the most intense temperatures of the day.

Due to existing event permits, the festival is required to conclude by 23:00. Organizers are currently working to reorganize the daily schedule, with updated lineup information expected to be released shortly. The long-running trance event, which takes place annually at Bernie’s Beach Club in Zandvoort, Netherlands, remains a cornerstone of the summer festival season.

This decision follows the recent cancellation of Defqon.1, which was also forced to shut down due to extreme weather conditions. When a code red warning is in effect, authorities urge extreme caution, as the heat places significant strain on emergency services and poses genuine health risks to the public. Attendees are encouraged to stay tuned for further updates from the Luminosity team throughout the weekend.
