Dialled In Launches Dialled In Records to Champion South Asian Artists Globally

Dialled In has officially announced the launch of Dialled In Records, a new label dedicated to developing and amplifying boundary-pushing South Asian artists on a global stage. Based in London, the imprint arrives as a natural evolution for one of the UK’s most vital cultural platforms, further expanding its mission to connect underground scenes across borders.

A New Home for Global South Asian Talent

Positioned at the intersection of club culture, contemporary alternative music, and cross-genre experimentation, Dialled In Records is designed as a permanent home for the most exciting talent emerging from South Asia and its diaspora. From forward-thinking club sounds and experimental electronics to vocal-led projects, bands, and multidisciplinary collectives, the label reflects the diversity and momentum of a rapidly evolving global scene.

The label will focus on releasing music, developing long-term artist careers, and building international pathways for talent rooted both within South Asia and across its diaspora. Its first wave of signings includes Ahadadream—a co-founder of the platform—and Excise Dept, a pioneering collective based between New Delhi and Mumbai.

Celebrating Five Years of Cultural Impact

The launch aligns with a landmark moment for Dialled In, as the platform prepares to celebrate its fifth anniversary with its largest festival to date on May 30, 2026. The multi-venue event will take over eight spaces across Dalston, London, bringing together 3,000 attendees and a lineup of international South Asian artists, many of whom will be performing in the UK for the first time.

A standout figure within the UK electronic landscape, Ahadadream has built a reputation for his dynamic DJ sets, distinctive production style, and genre-defying sound. He has earned support from Skrillex, Fred again.., Four Tet, Eliza Rose, and Pete Tong. His single ‘Bass Dhol,’ featuring Raf Saperra and Skrillex, marks the label’s debut release—surpassing one million streams while reaching No. 1 on the BBC Asian Network charts and earning Track of the Week on BBC Radio 1.

Building Sustainable Infrastructure

Meanwhile, Excise Dept continues to carve out a distinct identity at the intersection of experimental electronic music, South Asian identity, and emotional storytelling. Blending multiple regional languages with avant-garde production, their signing signals the label’s commitment to working directly with artists from the subcontinent itself. The collective has recently performed at Lollapalooza India and sold out shows across Mumbai and Pune, with praise from outlets including Vogue India, Mint Kolkata, and Rolling Stone.

As South Asian music experiences a global cultural surge, Dialled In Records arrives with a clear purpose: to address the gaps that still exist in artist development and international support. The label is positioned not just as a platform for releases, but as an infrastructure designed to help artists from the region build sustainable global careers.

Dialled In has always been about building the infrastructure that South Asian artists deserve but have not always had. We started as a group of friends who believed South Asian creativity could command the global stage. Now, with Dialled In Records, we have the full ecosystem to make that happen: from artist development and live platforms to recorded music and international distribution. This isn’t a catalogue play. It’s a commitment. To the producers pushing sound forward, from whichever corner of the world they find themselves in. To the voices that don’t fit neatly into someone else’s genre tag. To the scenes that have been building in the margins and are ready for the centre. Dialled In Records is a label built to give South Asian artists the home they’ve always deserved: one that speaks their language, understands their context, and backs their vision without compromise. — Dhruva Balram, co-founder of Dialled In

Co-founded by Ahadadream alongside Ahsan-Elahi Shujaat, Dhruva Balram, and Provhat Rahman, Dialled In has spent the past five years growing into a multifaceted cultural ecosystem spanning live events, international touring, artist development, and cross-border collaboration. With the launch of Dialled In Records, the platform takes its most significant step yet—solidifying its role as both a cultural movement and a global engine for the next generation of South Asian artists.
