Canadian pop artist Olivia Lunny turned heads and tuned in ears with her debut EP, To The Ones I Loved, which released on August 28th. Today she is sharing a beautiful visual for one of the projects standout singles, a delicate ballad of yearning while moving on entitled “Bedsheets”. Not only has the song racked up over 600K streams on Spotify, but it also won Olivia SOCAN Foundation’s Young Canadian Songwriters Award sponsored by Sirius XM.
The song premiered with PARADE Magazine back in May, with the outlet raving “Olivia Lunny’s newest release ‘Bedsheets’ is filled with wholesome harmonies and suspenseful musical droplets that delicately pull us in. A song with a beat to dance to and lyrics to cry to, Lunny captures the beauty in sadness and the difficulties of letting go.”
The “Bedsheets” video follows Olivia through an intimate journey as she performs her heart on her sleeve ballad. From writing the song alone in her bedroom to taking to the streets and shores of New York City, she shares her vulnerability and process of letting go. When asked about the filming process, Olivia shared, “Shooting this video was Cathartic for me. I’m so excited to share a visual for this song.”
