I don’t know much about Nationaal Jeugd Jazz Orkest, so I googled and found this on the band’s Facebook page:
The National Youth Jazz Orchestra (NJJO) is a big band of musical top talents and is also known as the ‘Jong Oranje’ of jazz. The orchestra is composed of Dutch talents or talents living in the Netherlands of a maximum of 23 years. They go through an educational trajectory with musical coaching, masterclasses, workshops and performances and thus get the chance to find their way into a professional future.
A very cool initiative. And their latest single, ‘To You We Sing’ is a lovely blend of jazz and soul.
