Madelyn Grant’s ‘Purpose’ is putting a smile on my face. I love her velvety smooth vocals, the Neo-soul vibe and that horn is pure perfection.

‘Purpose’ which is a debut single is about uncovering a sense of spirituality.

“It was written at a time when I was meditating weekly, had developed a profound connection to nature, and above all else, a strong connection to music. I dove deep into contemplation about what it means to have a “purpose” and how it effects our lives. As a musician, we all have gifts that we share with others. I believe that is part of our purpose. I recorded the tune with fellow University of Michigan attendees, with the help of Vulfpeck collaborator, Tyler Duncan. I had horns added to the track because it needed that Al Green, throwback soul vibe.”
