You are about to hear a stunning piece of music courtesy Jacob Noal. And it’s interesting that something so beautiful was written out of frustration with people interacting without humility, love, or respect.

Listen to ‘Old Trouble Remade New’ below.

“More and more, it seems like a lot of people just want to hear themselves talk, or at least listen to others that echo their own beliefs and convictions. People with different opinions are seen as the enemy at best, and less than human at worst. Instead of respectfully asking questions, or assuming good intent, we “hear what we we wanna” and continue the fight. I tend to dislike extreme behavior in any form because it works against the (often good) goals of the people engaging in the behavior. If we want people to see a different point of view, why put them down and treat them like garbage? We are all part of humanity, and we aren’t going to get anywhere by “burning common ground”. This kind of behavior just ends up creating new versions of the same old problems — it’s “old trouble remade new”. – Jacob
