Speaking about the track, Essy said:
“I wrote this song on my first solo writing trip to Los Angeles over a year ago. At the time, I was going through a difficult breakup and had no idea how to face the situation while being alone in a big city. My coping strategy for a while was to pretend it never happened, but eventually it all caught up to me. This song is about learning to dance through the pain, through the grief, through the ending of something hard. It’s okay if you can’t face something right away, but if you keep moving the path will always clear.”
