Flore Laurentienne has shared the the third and final single to be released from his upcoming album Volume II due out October 21 via RVNG Intl. and Costume Records.
New single ‘Promenade’ takes a mosaic of elements that can be found on the wider album, borrowing chords and motifs from various tracks on the album, presenting an elevating and dreamlike piece that shines a light on the virtuosity of the projects string orchestra. The release comes with accompanying video by Guillaume Monette.
Flore Laurentienne is the vessel of Quebecan composer Mathieu David Gagnon. The project nests in the history of botanical writing as the namesake of an inventory documenting flora in the St. Lawrence Valley, the area where Gagnon was born and raised
