City – ‘In Too Deep’
City has given us a proper Summer anthem with his track, ‘In Too Deep’. This is the first official release for City, a first-generation American whose parents hail from my home, Trinidad & Tobago.
Since 2008 City has been touring alongside Grammy award-winning singer Ashanti as her DJ and Hype Man. One of these tour stops brought him to his heritage home of Trinidad & Tobago, where he connected with Travis World, a local music producer who collaborated on the record, In Too Deep.
City reached out to his long-time friend and collaborator Michael Coppola, who is now a part of the writing team, Vocal Junkies. The result is ‘In Too Deep’, a song representing the deep emotions that everyone experiences at some point, whether from a momentary muse or a long-term love.
I love the vibe created here, and when you listen to it, you may find yourself forgetting where you are because it will be easy to get caught up in the good vibes.
