Way back in January, Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival announced that there would be a documentary released soon titled Coachella: 20 Years in the Desert. It was made to celebrate the adored music festival’s 20th anniversary. Recently on Reddit, the official release date was revealed; therefore, it will begin streaming on April 10th, just a little over a week from now.
Truthfully, since the music festival was announced that it would be postponed until October, future attendees have been looking for a pick me up. In addition, everyone around the world is currently stuck in their home due to coronavirus. Therefore, Coachella will be giving everyone something to do by releasing this documentary. The best part is that anyone can watch it because it will be completely free to watch.
The documentary will be coming soon to YouTube Originals. Coachella: 20 Years in the Desert will feature performances from previous events by Daft Punk, LCD Soundsystem, Radiohead, and many more. Producer and director Chris Perkel will share the festival’s history, many untold stories, exclusive interviews, and more in the film.
Stay tuned for more updates on Coachella and the new documentary.
