Funk Tribu Launches 'Rituals' Compilation Series on TRIBE

Funk Tribu has officially launched a new compilation series titled ‘Rituals’ on his label, TRIBE. The first volume, released today, September 18th, across all major streaming platforms, marks the beginning of a recurring project designed to showcase a curated selection of electronic music talent. Each edition of the series is set to feature four distinct artists, establishing a consistent format for the label’s future releases.

The debut edition, Rituals Vol. 1, highlights a diverse range of sounds, featuring contributions from Afem Syko, HANAA, Supergloss, and Vall Du Son. By blending elements of techno, melodic house, and UK garage, the compilation avoids a singular sonic identity, instead opting for a cohesive statement built from four unique artistic voices. The project’s visual identity further emphasizes this connection, with the artwork incorporating a unique handprint from each contributor as a symbol of their individual relationship with the label.

Building a Community-Driven Ecosystem

Since its inception in 2025, TRIBE has evolved into more than just a record label. It has become a community-driven ecosystem that bridges the gap between club culture and artistic expression. Through a series of club nights in cities like Amsterdam, Paris, Brussels, and Bogota, as well as various film screenings in Berlin, the project has fostered a dedicated following around the music of Funk Tribu and his peers.

The collaborative spirit of the label is evident in the personal backstories behind each track on the compilation. Funk Tribu notes that the curation process was organic, with each artist bringing a unique history and connection to the project. Whether it was discovering Afem Syko in Bogota or meeting Supergloss in Serbia, these relationships form the foundation of the ‘Rituals’ series.

What I like about the compilation is that there wasn’t one specific way these tracks came together. Each artist and track has its own story and connection to me, but somehow they all ended up fitting into the same ritual.

A New Chapter for TRIBE

The launch of Rituals Vol. 1 arrives during a period of significant momentum for the label. Following successful releases such as ‘Azul’ and ‘Hold On,’ TRIBE has solidified its reputation for championing emotionally driven, identity-rooted club sounds. Funk Tribu’s own influence continues to grow, recently highlighted by two sold-out performances at Bogota’s Coliseo MedPlus and a prestigious recognition from the city council for his contributions to Colombian electronic music culture.

Rituals Vol. 1 is available now on all streaming platforms, serving as a testament to the label’s commitment to fostering new talent and building a lasting musical community.
