A breakup can feel intensely personal, but on “Love Me Again,” four electronic artists turn that familiar emotional uncertainty into something built for thousands of people to experience together. Lost In Dreams Records brings together Matt Pridgyn, AURALIZE, Max Robinson and Lexi Scatena for the progressive house collaboration, arriving September 18 and pairing soaring mainstage production with an intimate story about heartbreak, regret and the possibility of another chance.
The track starts from a deceptively delicate place. Piano chords introduce the record before layers of synths gradually begin to expand, eventually opening into the kind of widescreen festival moment progressive house was made for. At the center is Bay Area vocalist Lexi Scatena, whose performance moves between vulnerability and powerful belting as the emotional tension builds.
Her vocal gives the production a human center. While the synths and melodies push toward a euphoric release, the lyrics remain focused on the uncertainty that comes with a relationship falling apart. The contrast allows “Love Me Again” to move between intimate reflection and full-scale dancefloor catharsis without losing either side.
A Collaborative Journey
The story behind the collaboration is almost as connected as the song itself. The record began within the Discord community surrounding Afrojack’s WALL Recordings, a space where producers and emerging artists share demos, ideas and feedback. Budapest-based producer AURALIZE posted an early version of the track, which caught the attention of British producer Max Robinson.
Robinson began developing the idea through his own melodic approach before eventually sending the record to South Africa-born, Toronto-based producer Matt Pridgyn. Recognizing the potential immediately, Pridgyn began incorporating the track into his Asia tour, using live audiences as an unexpected part of the production process. The response helped shape the record further before Lexi Scatena joined the collaboration and gave the song its defining vocal presence.
“‘Love Me Again’ is truly a record about teamwork, with all four of us contributing our own ideas and visions to bring this song together. I can’t wait to keep playing it out live at my shows,” says Matt Pridgyn.
That collaborative spirit is echoed by AURALIZE, who watched an initial idea develop into something much larger than the original demo. “It was really inspiring to work with Matt and Max and see how our individual sounds and ideas came together to shape the track,” he notes.
Defining the Progressive House Sound
Each member of the collaboration arrives with a different path through the dance music world. Matt Pridgyn, a classical pianist and multi-instrumentalist turned mainstage producer, approaches his productions from a songwriting perspective, building emotion through toplines, melodies and chord progressions before expanding them for large-scale sound systems.
AURALIZE has developed a sound rooted in emotional progressive house and the influence of Swedish House Mafia. Max Robinson’s own trajectory began with one of Afrojack’s live demo streams, eventually leading to his music being played on main stages internationally. For Lexi Scatena, “Love Me Again” marks a return to Lost In Dreams after her 2024 label debut, “Leave Me Waiting.”
What started as a demo shared within an online producer community has now evolved into a full-scale progressive house collaboration. “Love Me Again” is out now on all platforms via Lost In Dreams Records.
