He also credits Armin van Buuren‘s collaborator Ruben de Ronde for believing in his sound early on, noting that Ruben’s support helped him secure his first major radio backing. Additionally, he highlights the influence of BT, who served as both a technical mentor and a personal guide.

He prioritizes personal alignment over professional networking, noting that the most rewarding studio experiences come from genuine friendships. “There is something about making music with someone you are friends with; you can have fun and be unhinged in the studio,” he says.

He acknowledges that while artists often feel the need to handle every aspect of their career—from business to branding—the key is to eventually surround oneself with a competent team. “Once you are starting to catch attention you need to surround yourself with competent people that believe in your project and make your life easier,” he advises.
