Chris Lake and Tiga Unite for High-Energy Track 'Party Time'

Chris Lake, an undisputed industry leader, continues to dominate the tech house scene as he sells out multiple-day runs at some of the most prestigious venues of his career. Montreal’s Tiga, a seasoned dance music veteran, has also enjoyed a strong start to the year, marked by the release of his album HOTLIFE and a powerful collaboration with Dom Dolla. The two legends have now united to produce a new, forward-thinking tech house tune featuring the distinct vocals of Chris Lake’s wife, Aatig. ‘Party Time‘ is out now on Black Book Records.

The track opens with a spoken-word, back-and-forth duet between Tiga and Aatig, utilizing clever wordplay that pivots between the phrases “party time” and “body time.” The drop arrives with sudden intensity, shifting the focus to an unconventional, choppy melody underscored by pulsing percussion and a collection of scattered sound effects, bloops, and sharp scratches. As the vocals return for a noticeable buildup, the track transitions into a groovier, albeit equally experimental, drop. The composition briefly decelerates before firing back with a third release of energy that carries the track through to its conclusion.

While tech house remains an immensely popular genre, ‘Party Time’ clearly distinguishes itself by showcasing the innovative production skills of its collaborators. It comes as no surprise that the track has already elicited exceptional responses from crowds at Tiga’s Coachella set and Chris Lake’s recent performances in New York and Los Angeles.

Chris Lake maintains a rigorous schedule, with tour, club, and festival dates booked well through the summer and into the fall. His upcoming itinerary includes performances across major cities in the United States and Canada, as well as a highly anticipated B2B set with Disclosure in September. Tiga, while not currently on a full-scale tour, is set to appear at HARD Summer and ARC Chicago, in addition to a special hometown show at Montreal’s ÎleSoniq festival.
