Freaky Deaky NOLA Announced for Halloween Weekend at Mardi Gras World

Three of New Orleans’ most respected promoters are joining forces to launch a brand-new Halloween experience. Disco Presents, Amps Events (Metropolitan NOLA), and Encore Entertainment have officially announced Freaky Deaky NOLA, a two-night festival scheduled for October 30 and 31 at the iconic Mardi Gras World. Blind presale tickets are currently available, with two-day passes starting at $89.

A New Era for Outdoor Dance Music in New Orleans

The event promises a full-scale outdoor production across two stages along the riverfront. This marks a significant return for the city, which has lacked a large-scale outdoor dance festival since the conclusion of events like Buku and Voodoo. By combining over 50 years of collective experience in the local scene, the organizers aim to create a definitive destination for electronic music fans during the Halloween season.

James “Disco Donnie” Estopinal, founder of Disco Presents, noted that the collaboration felt like a natural evolution. Having produced shows in New Orleans since the early 1990s, Estopinal emphasized that the city remains a cornerstone of his career. He highlighted that the partnership with the teams behind Hell’s Gala aligns perfectly with their shared vision for the city’s unique cultural landscape.

Ryan Roach of Encore Entertainment echoed this sentiment, noting that his team has spent years cultivating Halloween weekend as a premier destination for travelers. The addition of Amps Events and The Metropolitan NOLA provides a deep, historical foundation for the project. Rob Brunet of Amps Events reflected on the long-standing relationships between the organizers, citing their shared history dating back to the 1998 Freakfest, which drew over 10,000 attendees to the UNO Lakefront Arena.

Lineup and Event Details

While the official lineup has yet to be revealed, the organizers have promised two nights of immersive visuals, themed experiences, and local vendor showcases. Given the history of the Freaky Deaky brand, which has previously hosted heavyweights like Above & Beyond, expectations for the talent roster are high.

Two-day blind presale passes are on sale now, with payment plans available for as little as $23 down. Fans who register early are entered for a chance to win two GA passes. Additionally, the festival has announced a partnership with Boys of the Boot Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting special needs programs and local law enforcement initiatives.
