He offered the commitment of an evening dedicated to celebration and discussed the importance of maintaining the news as confidential. Jay-Z, who is responsible for the management of the Super Bowl halftime productions on behalf of Apple Music and the National Football League, contacted Usher several days prior to the public announcement.
Jay-Z, said in his own statement,

In a video posted on X (formerly referred to as Twitter), Usher makes an announcement about his upcoming performance when he receives an immediate call from Kim Kardashian, who informs him about his featured role as the headliner.
This Super Bowl appearance will be Usher’s second, as he had previously taken the stage alongside the Black Eyed Peas when the group headlined the halftime show in.
