As we continue to be introduced to more and more music streaming services, some of the bigger names are consistently working at strategies that will keep them at the top of the competition. In the past year, the biggest battle has been between Apple Music, Tidal, and Spotify, but Spotify continues to make notable steps forward.
Earlier this year, it was reported that Spotify had reached a new milestone. The company announced in May that they officially had over 30 million paid subscribers—noting that they had gained 10 million more subscribers after the launch of Apple Music in June 2015. Though this number is quite high, it doesn’t include the even larger amount of consumers who continue to appreciate Spotify for free.
According to The Telegraph, Spotify now has more than 100 millions active monthly users. This includes both paying and non-paying listeners.
