Ubbi Dubbi Gets Freaky Deaky Cancelled Due to COVID

Ubbi Dubbi Gets Freaky Deaky is now canceled according to a statement made by the festival on social media. COVID-19 leads organizers to make this major decision as the future of the pandemic remains uncertain.

Although cases are decreasing and restrictions are easing within some parts of Texas, there is no certainty that the virus will be seen as less of a threat in October. According to organizers, this unfortunate decision is best to keep attendees safe during the pandemic.

“Observing the state regulatory environment, and using the best science- & health-based information available to us, we have determined it is unsafe to produce Freaky Deaky as originally planned, given the prolonged and unpredictable state of the COVID-19 pandemic. The event is now canceled. We understand this update is disappointing, but the safety of attendees, artists, and staff will always remain our number one priority.”

Ubbi Dubbi will now make its return in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area on April 24 & 25, 2021. Organizers will release the official lineup today in light of the sad news.

Those who purchased a ticket to the event will be able to transfer their passes over to the new show date. Those who choose to attend the event will be offered the following:

  • An Ubbi Dubbi 2021 sticker pack.
  • $10 off Early Bird Freaky Deaky 2021 tickets once they are on sale.
