Now this is synth pop at its finest! I just want to spend the rest of the day listening to this track. Essy really showcases her talent on ‘Stardust’ and now I am hooked.
This is a track she wrote and co-produced it during quarantine on her childhood piano that she hadn’t played in years.
Speaking about the song, Essy said:
“‘Stardust’ is a story of uncertainty and learning to make peace with that. It was a song I wanted to write for a while, but never knew how. The writing process took about 3 days straight of constant editing and revision. I experienced all the emotions in that time – sadness, grief, regret, hope. It wasn’t until I wrote the hook that I felt a sense of peace about where I was and what I wanted to say. I think sometimes peace comes when we least expect it, but when we arrive, it reminds us that the journey was definitely worth it. Writing this song allowed me to heal and grow and move forward.”
‘Stardust’ is the second cut from her sophomore album that’s out at the top of next year. I can’t wait!
